Kayston was riding on a sled being pulled by his dad on the four-wheeler. Preston is the safest, most conscientious father I know! They were going back and forth along the front of the house. At one point, the sled hit a patch of hard, frozen snow and veered off and right into the corner of the house! His body hit the drain pipe and his face hit the rock wall! Keri heard the thump from inside the house, and immediately knew it had to be bad. It knocked him out for a few seconds. In the hospital, Kayston said to his dad, "See, Dad, I held on tight like you told me to."

Slight concussion, four broken bones in his face! Luckily, no lasting damage, no damage to his eye or his teeth.
His school class made him some "Get Well" cards! That's a lot of get well soon wishes!
Such a little trooper! I'm pretty sure Preston had nightmares for weeks on this one! He felt really guilty, but of course, no one blamed him at all. It was just one of those freaky accidents. But, it could have been so much worse! We are all very glad it wasn't any more serious!
Isn't it weird how tragedy brings out the best in people? SO many people have offered support and prayers for a little boy they don't even know! When I called Tyler to tell him, he dropped everything and came right to the hospital! He said he knew they didn't need to, he just wanted Keri to know he was there for them.
